Practical and Technical Problems
Storage
The SD cards being recorded onto could either reach their memory capacity.
This could halt production, and may lead in all footage recorded on the cards to get deleted.
To prevent this, I will make sure there are multiple SD cards on set. So that we will have backups if any cards fail on us.
Software
When transferring footage from camera to computer, some files may get replaced.
This may lead to crucial files being deleted as they are being replaced due to a possibly coincidental same name.
To prevent this, I will make sure to rename all files in an ordered fashion so that I know what file is what and to prevent the replacing of files accidentally.
Power
The batteries may run out of the energy contained inside of them.
This will leave the camera powerless and us with no way of continuing our shoot.
To prevent this, I need to make sure that all batteries are charged. Also, having multiple fully charged batteries is stressful as if a battery dies then they can be replaces hassle free.
Software
The editing software may crash/corrupt whilst editing.
This could lead to the footage and edit being corrupted and all work could be at risk of getting lost.
To prevent this, I need to make sure my software is up to date and have backups of all footage and also to make sure that I constantly save with every change made to the edit.
